Boasting six bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, you’ll have plenty of space to spread out and relax after a day on Mount Hood. Conveniently located only 5 miles from downtown Government Camp and 20 minutes from the iconic Timberline Lodge, you can spend all your time riding and next to no time driving home. Once back at the lodge, enjoy the private hot tub located on the deck, or a nice cup of hot cocoa by one of the two fireplaces inside.

During summer months, enjoy a full-sized soccer field and basketball court. Near the field, there is a shared firepit for roasting marshmallows and warming your hands during the evenings. The private hot tub is located off of the side deck and you’ll feel like you are amongst the trees. No matter what time of the year you visit, The Chinook Lodge at Government Camp has everything you need for an epic getaway.

The lodge is conveniently located only 5 miles from downtown Government Camp and Ski Bowl Cosmic Tubing during the winter and playing at Adventure Park during the summer months. The Coho Lodge is only 11 miles from the iconic Timberline Lodge and 12 miles from Mt Hood Meadows. You can spend all your time exploring the Mt Hood National Forest and in no time you are back at the lodge relaxing. Your dogs are welcome to join you at The Chinook Lodge for an additional charge

When traveling with a large group to Mount Hood to hit the slopes. This is definitely the place to stay. The fully loaded kitchen came in handy if you like cooking. Love this place!!

Best place for large family vacations

Wonderful for family reunions, holidays, conventions, church groups. My family has stayed here several times. Spotlessly clean, spacious rooms, plenty of bunks. Everything worked great and all were so comfortable. Easy access to all the popular skiing, hiking, and entertainment. A great place to go and stay over and over as a family tradition. Thank you!

Overall the property was good. There was enough room, dishwasher was super easy to use and plenty of room for our family. One shower knob was broken and water was burning hot, I could not shower. There were lots of carpenter ants as well. The place was perfect for our group size but needs some TLC.

We had such a great time. There was so much space and the kitchen was awesome. There is one doorframe in the upstairs bathroom that seems to be broken/coming off the wall. Just want to let you know!

Family Christmas!

We had a blast spending time together as a family at this beautiful location! The kitchen was awesome and the seating for everyone to gather and enjoy a meal was perfect. The weather was a little wild that weekend and we lost power, but the host was very attentive and made sure that we knew where flashlights were and kept in contact with us as they got information on the outages. Would definitely recommend for large gatherings!

Hot tubbing and cozy by the huge fireplace as the silent snowflakes settled around us!

Spent a week up there in the spring with beautiful snow all around. This place is enchanting, and the staff who run it are wonderful, helpful, and informative. They made our stay easy, comfortable, and pleasant. Easy to access, tucked away in the deep snow at the top of the mountain 10 minutes from several ski resorts, including Timberline Lodge. It is a magical place to stay! Large full bathroom suites large enough for couples, families, with plenty of gathering room in the great hall with the giant stone fireplace. Where to begin! We were literally on the mountain in the snow drifts, the kids especially loved the huge meadow and playing on the hillside. The ski resorts are only 10 minutes away, including Meadows, Timberline, and Skibowl. In the summer it would be easy to get to the alpine slide, and Trillium Lake and the other nearby lakes. Government Camp is a 5 minute drive, where we loved the alpine feel of the shops and restaurants, with lots of things to do and rental equipment for our gear. We will be back every year to this place! Our favorite was the covered hot tub easily accessible on the porch surrounded by 10 foot tall snow drifts as we watched the magical flakes come down around us.

Wow, did Chinook Lodge exceed out expectations! Every bedroom is a suite with its own bathroom, making it perfect for all of the families to have their own space. The gathering space was large and comfortable with multiple seating areas. The kitchen is a commercial kitchen which made whipping up large meals a breeze. The hot tub was great to relax in at the end of a day on the mountain. We will be coming back every year! This place was perfect for us!

WOW! This Lodge was INCREDIBLE! Each bedroom was a master suite which comfortably fit a family which made the stay very comfortable. This was perfect for our Easter weekend as we had a large gathering! The common area had ample seating and with cute seating areas tucked in throughout the main level. The commercial kitchen was amazing and well stocked for cooking for our large group! We can't wait to come back and have already booked our return stay for August! Thanks again!
