Ripplewood is a serene and calming cabin along the Salmon River. Feel cool breezes rustling through the trees with the sounds of the rushing river and songbirds all around. This spacious and peaceful cabin on over an acre at the end of the road will be your favorite respite from everyday life. Relax in the open great room with wall-to-wall view windows and the gas fireplace. When you want to watch TV, use the remote to raise it out of the cabinet, leaving it hidden away when you want to spend time in conversation or playing a board game. The brand new kitchen with the 5-burner gas range is perfect for creating delicious meals to be shared at the spacious dining table.

Take a short walk to the river where you will be serenaded by the confluence of the Salmon River with a side channel. The trails behind the cabin will take you to the Bonanza Trailhead in less than 5 minutes.

There are two large bedrooms upstairs; the first bedroom with a queen bed and love seat and window views of the Salmon River. The second bedroom includes two queen beds for the kids or two single adults. The brand new upstairs bathroom is shared by both bedrooms and includes a tub and shower enclosure. The second full bathroom is downstairs near the kitchen. You will have a large laundry room with extra storage for personal items.

The large covered porch on the front of the cabin is where you will find the hot tub with views of the forest and peek-a-boo views of the Salmon River. The new Weber gas grill is on the covered porch making it convenient to bring dinner in to the dining table. The Ripplewood is pet-friendly and we welcome your mature dogs to join you during your vacation.

Comfort and Relaxation

We especially enjoyed the beautiful setting, deep in the forest. Loved hearing the river so close by. Very nice and well appointed kitchen. The hot tub was a nice bonus. We were 4 adults but there is plenty of room for a family with children. Comfy beds. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect for our weekend get-away.

Beautiful setting. Home is nicely appointed. Curtains in living room need maintenance as they are extremely difficult to close. Otherwise this is a nice mountain retreat with plenty of room for family/friends to gather.

It was a bad experience mostly trying to keep warm inside the house. This rental we stayed in is in a nice place, good for summer but our experience this time was not good. When we arrived, the house was cold and remained cold for our stay. We had to put on warm jackets just to keep warm. Looks like the owner has configured and has connected the heating system of the house to a Wi-Fi control system to cut winter heating expenses, no matter what we did, downstairs temp was set to 63 degrees and would not increase. Upstairs was OK, each bedroom had a heater. The Temperature monitor would come ON every few minutes and give a voice cold temperature warning. The gas stove which is used for downstairs heating is also on some sort of timer-controlled system and not sufficient for downstairs heating. very disappointed.

We had a small issue. The hot tub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. I spoke with someone at Meredith Lodging to let them know so that the next guest wouldn't be faced with the same issue and your company sent out a maintenance person within the hour to clean it so that we could use it. It was a great experience in customer support. Thank you for that.

Tranquil location surrounded by fairy houses

The cabin is in a beautiful location and the kitchen was great, and the hot tub was tranquil. Our daughter really loved all of the puzzles and we got to play a bunch of new games. We stayed during a very cold spell and the house was freezing cold when we arrived, it took it nearly 24-hours to recover to a temperature that we didn't have to walk around in the blankets that we were happy we brought (as there weren't any available, other than on the beds).

The Ripplewood property is perfectly situated with privacy and no sounds of highway 26. Great space for a single family with kids or two couples. The mudroom foyer was perfect for recreational gear. Dogs allowed except difficult for the seniors because there are no rugs. The pictures were accurate except the trees and ferns are more beautiful in person. We did not find the firewood as promised. The multiple cup coffee machine that was on display did not work. There was a single brew machine in the cupboard though. The light fixtures were not cleaned in the kitchen. Really wish there was an option for early check-in like we get at other cabins in the area. The living room would be more comfortable for more than four persons with additional bean bag chairs and also blankets for the living room area. One of the heater/fireplaces kept turning off on it's own and there weren't directions on how to fix this. If I would have known the upstairs bedrooms had limited bedding I would have brought my own. We'll definitely consider this property in the future!

The fireplace is gas, so there is no firewood provided and we do not provide firewood for outside fires. This isa a wonderfully laid out home and site. Well equipped for cooking, great hot tub and a river front deck that is incredible. Easy to get to and close to grocery store, coffee shop, bakery and liquor store (and more).
