Unwind in this new custom-built cabin with lovingly crafted artistic woodwork created mostly from timber harvested on the property. While rustic, the Cedar Springs Cabin has everything you want for your Mt Hood vacation including a modern kitchen with stainless appliances and a gas cooktop, an easy-to-use gas fireplace, a private hot tub, awesome views of Mother Nature, and a secluded setting next to the Mt Hood National Forest.
The vaulted great room with walls of windows brings the forest and wildlife into view. Get cozy by the gas rock fireplace or gather around the outside firepit warming your hands and reliving the day’s adventures exploring Mt Hood. The backyard-covered patio is perfect for any time of year to sit with a glass of wine and a good book that is if you are not distracted by the scenery. End the day with a soothing soak in the private, outdoor hot tub.
Everyone in your group will appreciate spending time together while cooking meals, watching TV, or playing board games in the spacious great room that is open to the kitchen and dining area that leads out to the back patio. Gather around the 6-person dining table for a good meal and conversation. Then work on a jigsaw puzzle into the night. The floor plan accommodates up to 3 couples or a small family with the downstairs king bedroom and full bathroom, the upstairs queen bedroom and full bathroom, and the loft with a queen sofa bed.
This quiet forest setting is close to all Mt Hood activities including hiking trails, snow play areas, restaurants, and shops. Rent with the Forest View Lodge next door (well there are a few acres of forest in-between) for larger groups.

What an incredible place. So clean, and spacious! You are surrounded only by woods. It’s quiet and peaceful. They have thought of everything-hot tub, outdoor fire pit with wood, beautiful fireplace, large dining table, etc. Kitchen was well stocked. We travel all of the time and this place is top notch!

The place was great! I do think you should check out the downstairs couch. When my wife and I both sat on it, we heard it creaking in the middle of it's back. Wasn't a problem for us...I sat in the recliner after that but it might need to be replaced.

We are already planning our next trip to stay in the Cedar Springs Cabin! Everything was as nice or better than pictured. We saw several deer walk through and there were even baby robins in a nest on the patio! The cabin felt secluded and quiet while still being just a short drive from restaurants, hikes, and groceries. We had one question about the hot tub while we were there and we were able to reach customer service to get our question answered right away. We appreciated that they followed up the next day to make sure our issue was resolved. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and game cupboard! Overall, we were very glad we decided to stay here and can't wait to return!

The door code did not work for us upon arrival. However that was resolved quickly by calling the reservation office. Unfortunately upon checking out, the door code to reset/lock the door didn't work either. We were able to get that resolved by calling the reservation office again.

We fell in love with this cabin as soon as we arrived. It’s much better in real life than pictures. The cabin is super clean, warm, cozy, spacious, beautiful, has everything you need. The location is perfect & completely private & quiet. There are several easy & beautiful hiking trails nearby. There are a few cozy & authentic restaurants in the area, some you can walk to. I just wish we had one more day, as two days were not enough to enjoy the serenity of this cabin. We won’t look for another place if we visit the area again!

As you pull up to the cabin it's a pleasant surprise. It's very nice and on enough property to feel alone. Parking is good for a few vehicles. Close enough to town to run down and grab pizza. Hot tub is in a great location. The cabin is very nice. We would stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the cabin has a nice layout and felt very easy to relax in. It’s still quite light dispight being in the forest as it has lovely big windows and a high ceiling. The gas fire has real flames so it still felt cozy in the evening with a touch of a button.
The hot tub is in a great spot looking out to the trees tho one of the jets didn’t work so well at the time of our stay.
Over all a lovely spot and would defiantly go back again.

Hot tub is awesome, No neighbor or road view. It runs about 5 degrees hot! So kick it down to 99 when you get there for a 104 soak when io cools down.
Comfortable beds and living room. TV is signed in to all the good streming channels: HBO, Netflix, Disney, Amazon.
7 minutes to the market, easy access to everything.
Well supplied, maybe bring extra blankets. The only ones in the house were those on the beds.

We love this cabin! This is our second year in a row staying here for my husband’s birthday. I would say the only issue we had was with the temperature of the hot tub. I think the temperature gauge might be off. Both years it was extremely hot! We even turned it down to 98 degrees, which was tolerable, but we all had to get out an cool off about every 5-10 mins. Other than that, our stay was wonderful. Very relaxing & cozy!

We loved our stay at the Cedar Springs Cabin. The house simultaneously felt very cozy AND spacious - we were only a pair but the cabin would have comfortably fit 4 adults with room to spare. The rental company was easy to work with, the cabin was extremely clean and well equipped, and the property was well located for easy access to all the Mt. Hood ski resorts. We would definitely come back to this property and would recommend it to friends as well. It was the perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous and intimate cabin. It is so peaceful and tucked away, it felt like a real escape. The hot tub with the stars and fairy lights is hard to beat! We had everything we needed and it was a safe layout for our younger kids which took away the parent stressors!
The wifi is quite slow but we were still able to access Netflix for some kid entertainment.
Only complaint is we only stayed two nights! Next time we will stay longer!
Would be nice to have a dish rack to dry pots, etc.

Such a cool place. The initial picture of the outside doesn't do the cabin justice. Being a home builder, I can really appreciate all the hard work that went into the beautiful wood interior. Alaska milled trim above the doors! Super cool!
The property is positioned just right to have privacy in a wooded setting. A doe and her fawns hung out with us all three nights as we hot tubed under the stars.
My 9 year old daughter found the outside fairy lights. So cool at night. We ordered some for our home.
Overall a great place to stay! My wife and daughter loved it Will! Excited to come back!

We loved our stay here! We stayed the first week of Aug. 2020 and enjoyed it very much. It was very clean, very isolated, and very cozy. You can’t see any other cabins, or the road from the property and the road is not heavily traveled anyway. There were Does and Fawns that visited every morning and evening. We enjoyed relaxing in the very clean and maintained hot tub in the evenings. Kitchen was well stocked, furniture was comfortable, and everything was super clean!

This super nice cabin was exceptionally clean, everything is new-ish. The hot tub is in good shape and works well with excellent jets! It is obviously well taken care of, and as far as rentals go, this one was really nice. It is close to the Salmon River hiking trails. The cabin is surrounded by forest; although you can hear cars passing on the road, you cannot see the road or any other houses. We had deer, including a spotted fawn, just outside the house, and one even came into the yard with a fire burning and music playing. Overall, a wonderful experience. FWIW Notes: the mattresses are extremely soft and squishy - almost like a waterbed - We've never encountered anything like them. Fine for the little kids, but the king was unusable by the older adults. There is a hot air popper, so bring your popping corn, as none of the local stores seem to stock it. The laundry machines are super nice - totally high end. You're given enough detergent for one load. Coffee filters were in good supply, and salt & pepper were provided, and nothing else.

Wonderful house in a very private setting. House was super clean, nicely updated and very comfortable. Location was great very close to hiking trails and not a far drive from ski areas. Fairy lights were a great touch. Only suggestion is to make some closest space in downstairs bedroom as the only closet is locked for owner use. We will definitely rent this home again.

We walked into this cabin with high hopes based on what we had read online and were not disappointed one bit! Perfectly situated to give maximum privacy while still being very accessible to town and the countless hiking/outdoors opportunities nearby. its a nice cabin, has its own land that you won't see other houses, the cabin is clean and well maintained, the hot tub has some problem and we never got too much chance to enjoy it, hope other guests will have chance to enjoy it when it completely fixed. This cabin has good style but should design to accommodate more people i think. should be a nice spot for winter ski holidays.

The cabin is in Welches, so about a 20-30 minute drive to skiing, but very close to hiking trails, restaurants and other activities. The cabin is in Welches, so about a 20-30 minute drive to skiing, but very close to hiking trails, restaurants and other activities. We have found the problem with the hot tub and it has been repaired. Please come back this winter for a ski trip.

A Perfect Little Retreat Cabin

We loved this cabin. Everything was virtually new and well appointed. The furnishings were tasteful and very comfortable. And the setting, gorgeous. We loved how secluded it was and enjoyed watching deer grazing in the woods while we soaked in the hot tub in the snow. We came up to ski so were out of the cabin during the day but enjoyed coming back to cook in the kitchen and enjoy our meals together at the beautiful dining table. We loved this place and would definitely come back again.

The Cedar Springs Cabin was by far the best vacation rental I've ever rented, and I travel a lot! This property was incredibly clean, meticulous, well laid out, and had everything we need. The communication was impeccable from the rental company, and check in was super easy. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed! I need to let the owners know they now have a new regular renter, because we love their cabin! 🙂

Apparently we were the first to rent this place and we really couldn't be happier.
The cabin still smells of fresh wood it's soo new!
Living space is very comfortable and you feel right at home immediately.
The kitchen is well appointed. Easy to cook in with most of the basics you'd expect.
Master bed was soft and comfortable with plenty of pillows.
The view from every window is trees. No neighbors and super quiet. In our 3 days there, I only heard 3 cars and that's cause I was outside.
FAIRLY LIGHTS! They did do something cool. There's a switch that turns on a green dot emitter that fills the trees and makes it feel like a fairy forest or something. Only visible once the sun goes down, but very fun to have one while using the campfire or hot tub.
Hot tub was great. Standard 4 person and enjoyable.
Getting into town is only a 5 minute drive.
Pictures pretty much tell you all you need to know.
We've rented once before from MHVR and they are always professional and great to work with.
Our 3 night stay was barely enough. We plan to be back.
