About this Vacation Rental
Tom's Creek Haus, a charming remodeled 1935 cabin set next to Camp Creek in Government Camp at the base of Mt Hood is ideal for a romantic retreat, a mountain getaway for two couples or a small family vacation. Escape the city to this spacious cabin along the creek where during the winter, you can hear the stream flowing by from the private hot tub on the covered deck and during the summer months you can relax down by the creek and dip your toes in the water with a good book or sipping drinks in the sunshine on the spacious deck. You will be a short walk to downtown Government Camp for dining and shopping, Mt Hood Skibowl for winter snow fun and summer mountain biking and the Crosstown Trail for summer hiking and winter cross-country skiing.
Friends and family will enjoy time together in the vaulted great room sitting by a fire in the rustic rock fireplace or while cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen. We had a lovely time at this rental. Sleeping with the crisp mountain air and the sounds of the creek was wonderful. The fully stocked kitchen and grill were also great since we made every meal in the cabin.

Let me start by saying this cabin is all it appears to be and so much more! I took my two daughters ages 18 and 11 along with our dog and this cabin was just the relaxing getaway we were looking for. Now, maybe I’m dull for not realizing this, but there is still snow a plenty in this area even in April and a good 8-10 inches fell in the day preceding our trip. So we didn’t get to enjoy some of the exterior amenities the location had to offer, but we relaxed in the cabin and soaked in the hot tub and the layout was great for our small family to be together but also have some space to do our own thing when we wanted. Master bedroom and bath were amazing for my daughters, the main floor queen for me was comfy if not excessively squeaky! Kitchen had everything you could possibly need as we cooked the majority of our meals and the overall vibe was just quaint and nice! Very, very clean upon arrival. I’d love to come back when there aren’t snow drifts taller than me surrounding the exterior of the cabin! We enjoyed our stay!
We are happy to hear that Tom's Creek Haus was so perfect for your family retreat. This is an updated and remodeled 1925 cabin, so there are few creaks here and there, but also lots of charm.
