Silent Rock Retreat is located in Government Camp with quick access to all Government Camp activities, shops and restaurants. During the winter months you will be minutes from skiing, snowboarding and Cosmic Tubing. You will be just a few miles from dozens of cross country and snowshoe trails and just down the road from Timberline Ski Area. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, too. Look for Huckleberries near the trails in August off of the Skiway Trail.

The Silent Rock Retreat is a 2-level vacation home provides plenty of room for up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The great room offers up plenty of seating for all your friends and family to gather around to enjoy favorite TV shows or to play board games or put together jigsaw puzzles and cozy up to the wood burning fireplace. The open modern kitchen includes all the appliances, pots, pans and dishes you need to prepare a fabulous feast. Share your meals around dining table with the view of the surrounding mountains in the background, or walk across the street to Mt Hood Brew Pub for delicious food and hand crafted beer. The loft area upstairs is the perfect gathering spot to have a foosball tournament. The large flat screen TV offers streaming services to be able to log in to your favorite service and relax after a fun filled day exploring the Mt Hood Area.

Ski weekend for 6

My friends and I had a great time here. Photos are accurate. Beds were all comfortable, bathrooms clean and functional. Big couch and lots of space to hang out. Fireplace was great, but if you use it all weekend you'll need to buy more wood (they provide some). Kitchen is small but functional with plenty of pots/pans for cooking. Dining table only has 4 chairs, so it's hard to sit down to dinner together with a larger group. The wall heaters were not that great. They didn't seem very effective and one made quite a bit of noise. Two cars fit in the driveway, but we easily parked other cars on the street below. All in all, my friends and I really enjoyed our stay here.

Fun in the snow and sun!

Lovely home! Very well decorated and very comfortable. Great location and cute community. Only downside was the driveway. Barely fit two cars and the snow made it hard to get in and out of vehicle. Steep and slippery.

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful mountain cabin! Score 4 1/2 out of 5. I would suggest three improvements to make it perfect- 1. Washer and dryer. Pretty essential with skiers and kids. 2. The upstairs corner bedroom needs a new mattress. It has a depression in the middle that causes two occupants to roll downhill into each other. 3.Window blinds for the upstairs family room. The afternoon sun made that room uncomfortably hot. These are not criticisms but just suggestions for improvement. We really enjoyed the house.

Wall heaters are noisy and not very effective. Various instructions refer to things that do not exist at this rental (hot tub, carport, etc.) It’s confusing. You might want to have a few folding chairs in a closet in case more than four people want to sit at the dining table. Otherwise, the place was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Beds and bedding were comfortable, bathrooms/showers great, kitchen well supplied for cooking, nice large couch for lounging. Thanks!
