Woodlands Cabin, a modern and rustic cabin tucked in the woods near the Zigzag River in Rhododendron is a warm and cozy place to gather with your family and friends for a relaxing vacation. Enjoy the fire in the wood-burning rock fireplace with views of the forest through the picture windows in the great room. With the large lawn, your dog will have fun romping around and fetching a ball. You can take a short walk to the Zigzag River and explore nature.

The spacious great room with fireplace, updated kitchen with new appliances and the cozy rock fireplace is ideal for gathering for lively conversation, watching TV and working on a jigsaw puzzle. Head out to the front deck for a BBQ and to enjoy the outdoors with the sounds of the Zigzag River nearby. Soak in the new hot tub after a day of fun in the snow. You will be just minutes to trails for snowshoeing, hiking and biking and three ski areas.

The layout is ideal for 2 families vacationing together or up to 4 couples with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Downstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and one with a computer work desk for when you have to hop on to a work call or finish a project. There is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and stacked washer and dryer downstairs. Upstairs, there are 2 more bedrooms, one with a king bed and the second bedroom with a queen bed and a second computer work desk.

Your mature dog is welcome to join you for an additional charge.

Relaxing getaway.

The property was well maintained and clean. The house was all lit up and heaters had been switched on so the house felt nice and cozy. My only grievance is that the kitchen didn’t have filters for the coffee maker and basic condiments such as salt. The hosts were prompt in responding when questions arose. I would recommend this place to friends and family. It was just the right place for peace and quiet!

Beautiful home with terrible water pressure

We really enjoyed the size, location, and furnishing of this 4-bedroom home. However: (1) the water pressure is very low, making showering a challenge; (2) the shower in the downstairs bathroom is very small; and (3) the living room has only overhead lighting with no dimmers and no lamps. That said, it's a very comfortable house for 4-6 adults. Also, it is dog friendly (but not fenced).

The cabin was clean and had all the amenities you'd need. 2 full bathrooms and 4 bedrooms make this ideal for several couples. The hot tub was large and plenty of room for our dogs. Quiet, tranquil and comfortable. It feels larger than the photos looked, for sure.

I would award more stars in Quality and Condition except for two things: (1) the water pressure was very low, making it hard to shower and (2) the only lighting in the living room consisted of overly bright ceiling lighting - lamps and/or dimmers would be a big help.

The house was perfect for our group. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Only negative is the really low water pressure. Understand it is a mountain cabin so not going to be great but the upstairs shower was very low.

The kitchen was impressively stocked and the home was clean and cozy. We noticed a shortage of bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash in one of the bathrooms), but fortunately we brought our own and shared the shampoo between the two bathrooms. It was a wonderful stay otherwise!

Beautiful home in a relaxing space. Looking out over the backyard into the trees made us feel like we were in our own world, even though we weren't far from Mt Hood at all. Great little neighborhood, perfect for taking the dog for a walk; it was a lovely stay and we look forward to returning!

Lovely woodland place

This is a delightful spot for family to gather and enjoy. Clean and quiet. The ad says you can hear the river but we did not find that to be true. It’s a walk to the river through the neighborhood and then woods. It’s beautiful but not a place you can go hang out on a riverbank. We were a short drive from glacier park where we foraged for huckleberries and mushrooms. Found enough berries to make jam, but no mushrooms this time! Also just a touch further was Trillium Lake with a spectacular view of Mt. hood. We SUP’ed the afternoon away and ended our day in the hot tub which was GREAT. Overall, a great spot and my only suggestion would be to add hooks in bedrooms for towels, etc. Also add a mirror in bedrooms so one can get ready without taking up bathroom space. Hope to come back one day!

The cabin was cozy, bright and beautifully situated. It snowed every day we were there which we loved. We hiked and really enjoyed our evening walks in the snow. The hot tub was a great hit! We will definitely be back!
