We were going to stay at one place but the snow made it nearly impossible to stay at. So this place was offerred. This place was smaller but the size of the living room made it seem much bigger. Very rustic and cozy. Located near the sandy river. Lots of places to walk. Internet was very fast. We had a good time. But.....
There was no phone but one was advertised. Wireless was sketchy and most of the time non-existent. Power went out our last day. That means no water, no heat, no lights. And we could not contact anyone. But there is great fireplace. The place is full of beautiful dark wood paneling. And lighting was marginal. So the place is mostly much darker than home. My wife wanted to do some knitting but there was not enough light anywhere. Some brighter bulbs might have helped. To dark for jigsaw puzzles. They also cheaped out on paper towels, tissue, and toilet paper. It was all single ply. Its a septic toliet system so maybe that explains the tp. Would I stay here again..... probably but I would bring my own paper towels, a few brighter light bulbs, and my handheld tranceiver ( for help). One other thing. During the power failure we would have loved to light some candles but they do not want you to do that. It would have been handy to have a couple of emergency batter powered laterns at the place. Because it got REALLY dark when the power went out. We had flashlights but that was sort of difficult to pack with.
