A magnificent custom-built lodge surrounded by a forest of Douglas Fir and Cedar trees in Welches, Oregon. Gather in the vaulted great room with the double-sided floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace and amazing views. Prepare a great meal in the kitchen, dine and share conversation at the dining table or get cozy on the sofa while watching TV with a fire blazing in the fireplace. Step out to the deck and soak in the private hot tub with views of Huckleberry Mountain. In the summer gather outside to BBQ on the gas grill and dine at the picnic table. The kids will love the downstairs family room with the wrap-around sofa, games and puzzles and their own TV.
The lodge layout is ideal for family getaways with 6 bedrooms including 3 en suite bedrooms and a main floor fully remodeled bathroom. The upper level primary suite includes a king bed and private bathroom with walk-in shower. There are two bedrooms on the main level with a fully remodeled bathroom with walk in tiled shower. On the lower level, there are two more very spacious family suites with view windows and glass French doors leading out to a patio, lawn and panoramic Huckleberry Mountain views. The first family suite includes 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and a love seat sitting area and a full bathroom with a tiled tub and shower. The second family suite includes 1 king bed, 2 twin beds, a sitting area and a full bathroom with tiled tub and shower. Both downstairs suites lead out to a private patio with tables and chairs for enjoying morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. The Huckleberry Mountain Lodge will be your vacation destination with meadows, hidden picnic areas and two seasonal streams plus the incredible views.

We had a wonderful time at Huckleberry Lodge! The kitchen was perfect with everything we needed to cook and bake some amazing meals. The linens and beds were comfortable and inviting. And the views? Absolutely stunning.

The kitchen just had a great make over and all updated cookware and dishware, however some essentials were missing for a house that sleeps 14 people, not enough bowls for everyone and there was no cheese grater. Also, it would be great if the light switches were labelled, we could never figure out how to turn on the fans or the outside porch light. Also, we rented the house for 8 days and were only allowed two trash cans full, for 14 people for 8 days that is not enough trash space.

Not sure if there was instructions on how to operate the stovetop and oven but would be nice. The fridge crisper lid was broken when arriving. Everything else was wonderful!

Our Holiday stay was perfect and the first time my whole family had been together in four years. The house was beautiful and so perfect for my whole family. My oldest son always has a toolbox in his truck and he fixed the freezer basket the first night we were there. The only issue was that the main floor WC seems to run constantly and while that didn't bother me at all, I worry about wasting water. Might want to have maintenance check that out. I really hope that we can come back when the whole family gets together again. Thank you so much.

Dog owners, this place is GREAT for you. The listing doesn’t note that there is about a 4 foot fence around the house that keeps your doggo close and secure. Also, a dog door in the kitchen to that yard. I was so happy when I got there and saw all of that! My escape artist dog stayed close and safe. The house is fabulous. Tons of room, lots of private spaces for folks who want some separation or rest during your stay. The fireplace is awesome! I wish the kitchen were larger (it got very crowded when two people would cook together) but that’s all I have to say that isn’t perfect!
We’ll maintained, we’ll stocked kitchen, comfy beds, comfy and plentiful furniture.
There are quite a few steep steps from your car to the front door so plan for that. No ADA accessibility.
Finally, we rent houses a lot as a group and the management and communication from Mt Hood Vacation Rentals was the best I have ever experienced! Anywhere. Welcoming, helpful, quick to respond.

This was one of the best customer service experiences w heave ever had in a rental and we rent houses a lot! We were kept informed if things like an outdoor fire ban. We had a few communications from friendly staff members offering support. When we had a need the team was responsive and quick. This home was large , had lots of private spaces, and was very well appointed. Thank you!

Such a wonderful house. Everyone was very comfortable and had their own space. Only thing I could suggest is more kitchen towels and the hot tub needs some work. The jets on one side were not working. Otherwise the place was fantastic for our needs.

This is a large, well designed home with plenty of space for a large group. I especially liked the two family suites on the lower level. I can imagine this house would be perfect for a few families to stay together without being too close to each other. The house was nicely furnished as well.

Everything about the rental was exceptional! Spacious living and bedroom areas, clean, well lit and private. The views off the deck were beautiful. Peaceful sound of the creek on the backside of the property. Awesome fenced in yard for our dogs with lots of extra space to run. We will be back!

This cabin is fabulous for larger groups. Bedrooms are spacious (including 3 with their own individual bathrooms) and an amazing open floorplan + well-stocked kitchen making it easy to hang out together, play boardgames, and chef meals together. Highly recommend and will continue booking annually!

We loved our stay at the Huckleberry Mountain Lodge. We used both fire places, cooked on the grill, soaked in the hot tub and explored nearby trails. I highly recommend driving an additional 2 miles to hike along the river (park right before the bridge). Hot tip: buy your groceries in Sandy to save $$. 10/10 booking this lodge for our next Mt Hood vacation.

Our 5th annual family "Mt Hood" vacation was wonderful as usual! This home is definitely one to which we'd return! 4 couples, 3 kids (4.5, 2, 1.5) and 3 dogs for four nights and still plenty of room, with leftover bedrooms! Highly recommend this beautiful, spacious, well-equipped haven. The only issues we had were: it was superficially clean but definitely not deep cleaned, the kitchen had no grater but it does now as we purchased one (had to have it for cole slaw) and left it, and there was an issue with the oven which they sent someone to resolve and he didn't ‐ he left saying they'd have to send someone else and we were able to fix it ourselves (unplug, wait, plug it back in, voila!).

Magical Mountain Retreat

Had an absolutely amazing stay at the Huckleberry Mountain Lodge. It was the perfect location for our family to unplug, spend some quality time together, and enjoy the majestic views from the lodge. Everything was well stocked and equipped for every scenario, not to mention the place is staggering beautiful! Not long into the first day there was talk of making it a repeat family spot, because it's that perfect. Completely fenced area for dog lovers. The check in/out process was SO easy as well. Will be back!

It's a great place to get away and relax or to host a family reunion. The cabin has amazing views and lots of deer to watch. My family and I will be staying here again.
