Our 2nd stay here for 5 days was again the best, never dissappointed the house was clean, with nice amenities thru out.Including the view. All the conviences of home and then some extras, towels for our pups and doggie treats too. Great location, and jump off point for hiking, site seeing as well sking and other fun activities.Privacy this is the one for us,our doggies love the big yard to play ball and get wet in the creek,we enjoyed the hot tub , becoming jello for the evening after those long hikes. The staff all very helpful and professional,we hope this property stays in the rental pool as we would like to stay here again.
We stayed over the 3 day weekend and didn't want to leave...a truly magical place...highly recommend....
This property is amazing, I would definetly come back for another visit. I am hoping to return very soon.
We really love the seclusion of this property; this was our 3rd time staying here and will probably visit again in the future. The home was spotless and the property manager made the reservation process seamless. The clock in the breakfast nook had stopped but we didn't care what time it was, as we had nowhere to be. The only improvement I would make to this place is maybe think about new sofas in the future. They still look good but obviously get a lot of wear as are getting uncomfortable. Otherwise, great home on a great property, very secluded, quiet, and restful.
The house is beautiful and is completely secluded, we loved this. And the river is so close with a nice backyard area. Plenty of space to park and move around cars. The open layout and large windows are great, as well as the open layout of the kitchen. It was nice to have a TV in a couple of the rooms and the large tub was great since I was sick when we arrived. A huge bonus that the hot tub is right outside the back door. And the pantry is an easy place to put away all of the food and other items we brought along. Overall we really enjoyed this house and our stay. Thanks! Also, I really like the repeat customer discount. It definitely guaranteed our return.
We always enjoy our stays with Mt. Hood Rentals. It's always an adventure to see what the place will look like. WyEast has gorgeous views and huge windows. Only complaint is that they don't have have a fire place to match the grandeur of the space.
We liked the beautiful view of the Mountain from the big windows. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were pleased. Thank You.
Id recommend this place to all of my closes friends and would love to return.
We had a wonderful time once again with friends and family.... an incredible time and it snowed both Friday and Sunday..some great card games and wii on the big screen, now I am spoiled
It is so nice to hear that you had such a great time.
Our stay was wonderful. This home is just beautiful and we had a terrific time. The views were amazing. The staff at the rental agency were great and we would not hesitate to do this again. Thanks!
Everyone loves the Wy'East Log Lodge. Glad you enjoyed this home, too.
We've spent many weekends at various Mt Hood Rental cabins before, but Wy' East Log Lodge has now become our favorite. From the direct view of Mt Hood, the layout of the cabin to the 2 acre property with the river in the backyard, this place has it all. A special thanks from our four-legged ones, Max & Jake. They loved running around chasing birds and relaxing in front of the gas fire place. We had a fantastic trip!
Good to hear Max & Jake enjoyed the yard and the creek. This is one of our best homes for dogs, with good walking trails nearby, too.
Very much appreciated the dog sheet and towels (even though we always bring our own) but could you please label them and let folks know where the dog shovel is? We guessed on the towels/sheet and didn't find the shovel until the last day (doing our last minute check).
We chose this home to celebrate our 13th It was peaceful and serene with stunning mountain views. I would definately love to return! We rated a 4 on cleanliness due to the carpet needed shampood in areas due to being a pet freindly home. Thanks for sharing with us!
Congratulations on your 13th anniversary. The carpets have been cleaned.
It was so nice to stay in a place that is so close to all the recreation the area has to offer and still be so private. Quiet, fabulous view, beautiful house, a really cool yard and even a spa to relax in, who could want more? Our two best friends also enjoyed their vacation (the dogs of course!). Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer, oh well, maybe next time!!! We would definitly stay there again. Thanks so much.
We are delighted that you had such a great time at the Wy'East Log Lodge. We look forward to your next visit.
I was looking for a place to relax and I found it. I have nothing to complain about - perfect. Great place to kick back, make some cookies and watch a movie. The kitchen and yard were my favorite. Oh, I cant forget to say how great the staff was. :)
Thank you for the great comments. We love the yard at Wy'East Log Lodge, too.
This is our 2nd visit to Wy'East and were not disappointed. If you like peace and quiet, no neighbors, awesome views, and a meandering creek, this place is for you!
We all had a great time at the Wy'East Log Lodge... it was very comfortable and the location couldn't have been more convenient. We hiked up to Romona Falls on Sat... the trail head was only a 2 mile drive from the home! We will be back.
we enjoyed our stay very much. the property is perfect, everyone had a great time Mt Hood is very pretty. This was our first time to Oregon, hopefully not our last.
We had such a wonderful time! This house had everything we could need. We really enjoyed how secluded and peaceful our stay was. We will definitely be making a trip back.
We always love coming to Mt. Hood and staying at your rentals. The staff and amenities are always top-notch.
We had a great time and it dumped snow at night and was clear enough during the day for a fun time at Timberline.
Home was like new. Very clean. Tastefully decorated. Management company was very professional. Nice gas stove was on upon arrival. Hot tub was very clean and ready to use. Will use this property management company again. Thanks for making my daughters Sweet 16 B-Day a wounderful experience!!
We could not have asked for a more relaxing setting. Snow, Hot tub (watching snow come down), space, well appointed and well constructed.A wonderful place to celebrate 47 wonderful years of marriage.
loved everything about it!
I really felt listened to and that are needs we met.
Secluded, private, peaceful, relaxing. Loved this well-appointed home with amazing view of Mt. Hood, fun creek and property to explore, hot tub, big screen, deck, grill, what more could you ask for?! We will be back!
The best stay yet even if it was bitter sweet. Memories were made that will stay with us forever! We have the most wonderful daughter-in-law who made this possableTataina Kuchabsky
Our family had a fantastic time at this beautiful cabin. THe inside was beautiful and open. The backyard and river was a perfect playground for the kids. You feel far away, yet everything is close by. We will definitely return to this particular cabin.
I did not expect what the house ended up being, looking at Ht. Hood and those sunsets as well as a peaceful river in the back with a hot tub. GOOSEBUMPS!
we would be interested in renting this property again on the dates of september 26th-29th. my mom will probably put in a request if she hasnt already. her name is ann clemo
This cabin is absolutely beautiful! It was quiet, peaceful and a truly unique winter retreat. Highly recommended!
The reservation process and property manager was excellent and available the entire trip. We arrived to a freshly plowed driveway and a home that was clean, warm and lit. The property was large and private. There was a hill that our 2 kids could sled down which was really fun. The views of the creek and the yard out the windows were amazing. The snow was too deep near the rushing water of the creek (we stayed during some crazy blizzard weather) but the sight was really beautiful. We'll have to go back to explore around the creek area. We couldn't see Mt Hood from the house because of the overcast weather. We skied at several of the resorts in the area and took the kids tubing. The location was great for being near all of them and further down the mountain to avoid some of the inclement weather (although some days that meant rain instead of snow). We didn't use the hottub but did watch provided videos (there is a video store right down the street) and completed provided puzzles. The rooms were spacious and had lots of closet space. Everything was nicely maintained and the amenities (appliances, washer/dryer) were great. We did have to purchase basics of detergent and would have liked for more of this to have been provided as it is hard to only buy enough for a 4 day stay. No cell phone coverage or internet access without driving down the street. Free long distance was provided though, which helped immensely. It would have been nice to have had snowshoes or a sled provided. We purchased a sled and left it in the garage for others to use. Overally, a very pleasant holiday with 5 adults and 2 kids and we would happily stay at this property again in the future.
Because of the mountains and trees, cell phone reception is spotty around the mountain. All of our homes have unlimited long distance to about 40 countries which helps alot. And because our community is small, high-speed Internet is not available everywhere either. However, Wave Broadband has announced that they will be offering high-speed Internet in Dec 08. Hopefully, that will happen, then more of the rentals will have that amenity. We provide a starter supply of laundry detergent and other supplies.
From the first phone call to check out was a 5 star experience! We once had to call for a propain tank and It was there in 5 min! Would Use cascade again and stay at Wy'Est again!
I honestly can't think of a neagtive thing to say about this property. The location was perfect for a privtate, quiet getaway. The house is well-stocked and very clean. It exceeded our expectations.
Booking was easy and the staff extremely helpful when it came to answering my questions. The property was lovely and the house and surroundings were just how it had been described on your web page. The only thing we were disappointed about was the fact that we could not adjust the temperature of the hot tub. It was 104 which was too hot for all of us and way to hot for our four year old who loves getting in a hut tub.
This was the second time we stayed at this cabin because we loved it so much. However the master bed smelled of urine. I think it was the mattress pad??Other than that, the place was very clean.
We really loved the house and its location. There were beautiful views from the front and the back. It was very large, roomy with beautiful interior and comfortable other than the fact that it didn’t have A/C. We loved the place but would not recommend going there during the summer unless they get A/C installed because the temperatures in the house exceeded 82+ degrees, so when we were there during the day it was pretty miserable. We actually had to go on drives and blast the A/C in the car just to get some relief. You could also go take a dive in the icy cold creek in the back to get some relief. Over all we would highly recommend this place for a winter stay and we are planning on making reservations during an upcoming winter.
You visited during a 3 or 4 day heat wave. Normally the temps in summer do not exceed 80-85 so the Wy'East Log Lodge is comfortable, especially because it is at a higher elevation than many of the other homes. I think you would find the home to be comfortable most of the time during the summer. Betsy
Our initial introduction to the property was a little unsettling since I walk into the home, went into the master bath and there was a snake next to the shower. My husband got the poop shovel and killed it but every time I went into the bath, I thought about the snake. A couple days later, as we went out the front door "mama snake" was sunning herself in the crawl vent and when she saw us immediately slithered under the house. I think someone needs to inspect/trap snakes in the crawl space...they can go inside through the plastic vent covers. Yeaks...Other than that, the home was fine. I wouldn't stay there in the winter since it has no "real" fireplace but it was great for the summer with the beautiful meadow back yard. We really did enjoy our stay even with the snakes.
Hi Debbie- Eeee... I don't like snakes either. I don't recall a guest finding a snake inside a home before. Thank you for letting us know about it. We will look into what we need to do to keept the snakes living peacefully in the woods, but away from the home. Betsy
Make sure you check out the BBQ before you get food ready for it. We found a dead mouse in the BBQ before we were about to use it.
yuk-we do inspect and make sure the BBQ is clean before each rental, so that little critter must have found his way to the BBQ after our visit and before yours. We apologize for that bit of inconvenience. Betsy
