Our hot tubs are set to stay between 102 & 104, by law. If your hot tub is not in that range, please call us. We often have small power blips here in the winter which causes the breaker to trip. It is an easy reset if that is what occurred. We will look into the plumbing, wish we knew more of what seemed to be the problem. Happy to hear that you liked the decorations.
Great place, great rooms, 2 fireplaces = lots of warmth. Kids loved it! Thanks for sharing your place with my family.
They could do with sorting out their kitchen drawers a bit - was hard to find things and they were a bit messy, and need stronger bin liners. Little things!

The only bummer is the check-in/check out time, (though I felt staff were very accomodating). Furthermore, there is very little (in comparison with other agencies) to do to check out.
Wow, we love hearing that we provided an exceptional experience for your visit. We inspect every home prior to your arrival, so we need a bit of time to make sure everything is in order. And it does take us 4 - 5 hours to clean the house so we need that time spread between check-out and check-in. However, we will always do our best to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out if at all possible.
Spent the weekend with some good friends up here. Second time we stayed here. Fantastic location & property. Should open up the gaming room to renters. Would add a little more to the otherwise great place.
We love the space at this home, too. The yard has plenty of room to run around and the deck by the river is awesome. The owners also store personal items in the game room, but we will talk with them about separating the spaces.
We have vacationed in ski areas on both coasts and this rental was one of the best for our family of 3 generations. The layout of the house was wonderful with the grandparents on one side and the grandchildren and parents on the other. The 2 family rooms are beautiful and the deck overlooking the river is perfect for reading and relaxing. The property needs some routine maintenance due to age, mostly outside on items made of wood, but we would rent it again and recommend it highly. We had a problem with the sliding screen door which was fixed immediately. From ages 3 to 60 our family loved our time there.
Very satisified with the chalet however, management wouldn't give me the address of the chalet until I checked in. As I was meeting with other parties, I couldn't give them directions to the place before hand. Also, I can't afford to stay at the chalet very often. Kind of pricey. We all had a great stay though. Wonderful place. Great location close to Mt Hood Meadows. Secluded and private. Good view of the river.
To protect the privacy of our other guests and security of the rental homes we manage, we do not give out addresses to the homes in advance. We are more than happy at check-in to provide maps and directions to the rental home for everyone who is staying with you as long as you provide the names of people you authorize to receive that information.
Very comfortable, roomy house. Lovely location. A few minuses--bathroom caulk discolored/moldy in both baths, ceiling leak in second bath, bit of moulding in master bath coming undone. But all told, it was a wonderful couple of days.

Stayed at the Zig Zag Chalet with friends to climb Mount Hood. We LOVED the river in the back yard, the hot tub, the very comfortable living room(s) and the bedrooms! Highly recommend it!!!
This home was a great place to spread out and relax with friends. The big table was great for dinner. And the creek was great. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.
The parking was limited even though it said "3" cars, we had to park 1 car behind the other 2. Lots of room to spread out with the 2 living areas. The bedroom with twins is very small. All in all, however, our group liked the chalet and the wooded atmosphere. It was nice hearing the creek at night.
We had a lovely weekend at the ZigZag River Chalet in Rhododendron. The house easily accomodated our group of adults and babies. The only problem was the hot tub was not really hot - more like a "warm tub".
Anytime we have a power blip or outage, which happens often in the winter, the hot tub can shut itself off and then needs a reset. Just give the office a call, in many cases we can walk you through how to reset the tub. If not, we will send a maintenance man to do it.
We did enjoy our stay very much. The cabin was cozy and warm. We loved the big family room,the cozy furniture, and all the games. The hot tub was a little cool for my taste, there was burnt out bulbs in rooms/bath. Mold in tubs, and the master bedroom tv wouldn't stay on. It would shut off and on with loud strange noises. No blinds on the master bedroom was kinda uncomfortable with view to neighbors. Alot of notes around the house with charge information on them that made you feel pairunoide. But the overall stay was so nice, and a good getaway. We plan on coming back again to this cabin or even try another.
this is the most amazing family oriented or group of friends house room for all to enjoy and relax just absolutely perfect think most fun in summer and I can't wait to come and enjoy again and again.
We had a large group and needed a cabin that provided separate areas for adults and teens- the layout of this cabin was great, providing a quiet area for reading and plenty of TVs and other areas for the teens. It's conveniently located near shopping areas and a quick drive to Timberline. The decor and bedding was cozy with enough extra blankets and pillows to make everyone comfortable. The hottub was a nice add and we loved the deck and beautiful yard with the river running through it!!
Had some issues with hot tub but Clay was responsive and fixed issues quickly. Heat was inconsistent - if set on 67 one side of the huose would continue to heat up above 67 as the cold side of the house (where the thermostat is) struggled to get to 67. House was funky and fun - yard was great!! Thanks for everything!
Very nice location, and super convenient. Hot tub soaks and creek walks were very popular after playing all day.I wish check-out were later (say, oneish or so).All in all a good stay.Thanks!
We had a fabulous time at this cabin. Everything was very nice. Only recommendation would be to remove carpet especially since it is pet friendly. Because of pet allergies we may not chose to stay in that cabin again. Otherwise it was near perfect - thanks.
Hi Adrienne- The owners of Zig Zag River Chalet have a dog, so the home will likely remain pet friendly. However, I do have a couple of recommendations of homes that are not pet friendly that might suit you better for your next visit. Woodland Lodge, Glacier River Retreat, Island Park Retreat & Cedarwood Lodge are all suitable for larger groups. If you have only 2 or 4 people, you might enjoy Moondance Cabin, Wildwood Cabin or Riverview Cabin. Remind us about your pet allergies the next time you make a reservation, so our staff can be sure to assist you with this. Betsy

I think this would be a great winter vacation home. As far as summer? The outside is a bit run down. Flowers in the rundown planters would have been nice. Back sliding door was VERY hard to go in and out of and screen on it was torn. Plumbing is a bit to be desired. Electrical was a bit scary as one strand of lights in the kitchen went out and a circuit breaker in the kitchen tripped when the microwave was used. Overall, I don't believe I'd return to this home.
The bathroom system was a huge mess and didnt work properly at all. It was constantly over flowing. The house didnt have much seclusion either like it is posted.
