  This house was great. It was my second time using Mt Hood Vacation Rentals and I will use them again and recommend them. Location was great, easy to get to, but secluded and with a nice view of the river. The house was in good shape, the kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and had a nice large table that we could all sit at. It seemed like some of the bed linens were not as clean as we would have hoped, and the hot tub was also not as maintained as we would have liked, but overall it was a good property and I would return.

  The home was nestled in an amazing location and fortunately that made up for some less then appealing things. All the beds were uncomfortable. One literally was "off alignment" so moving ment you were going to get sea sick. Animal hair was found in ALL bedding. Office was told and woman at front desk(wont mention name) didnt even make eye contact with me & gave me a short rude response of "housekeeping could have came and cleaned it." My thought_ should have been already.Never got an apology or was shown any concern. This properties kitchen is great. Large table for big groups and well stocked. Amazing deck. Got the impression the river was in view but it actually isnt. Still a nice property. I was slightly disappointed this time. Especially after renting another location that blew my mind.Left my recommendation at yes simply because it was great scenery, nice hot tub and great kitchen. Good for big groups. I wont rent it again but will try more of their properties.

  The vacation all and all was great. The staff at the rental company was very profesional and easy to work with. The only issue I had was that the unit was a little out dated. Other than that is was fine.

  The drive into the neighborhood was pretty scarey, so not conducive for walks outside. The house itself was great with the exception of a cupboard door that kept falling off the hinges and hitting feet. The rooms were very clean, the kitchen is fabuous for a large group, and we enjoyed sitting in the living room with a fire and watching the river. Overall very enjoyable experience. And all the staff were wonderful. Thanks!

  We had a great time. The staff was very helpful. We would come back. Only gave some 4 stars for: Kitchen cupboard door below sink fell off when opening, Coffee pot and microwave quit. Bath towel rack in the bottom bath was only 1/2 attached to wall, and the corner on the tub is sharp hidden behind the shower curtain. Dangerous. Upstairs shower head a little clogged with lime. Also the wood stove does not vent well so not very cozy to keep a fire going. All small things, that would add to a full 5 star stay.

  Great location. Home was semi-secluded - house next door was unoccupied. Short path to the river with sandy / rocky shore. The sand next to the picnic table/fire pit was great spot for the kids (2-3yrs)! Trail along the river brings you to other spots
  to wade. Dogs enjoyed as well! House was older but in good condition and clean. Kitchen was stocked. Thanks!

  Came exactly as advertised. This house makes for a great retreat and is ideally located near all of the activities Mt Hood has to offer. The hot tub, fire pit and river in the backyard made for a memorable getaway. Hope to be back soon.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Dance Retreat. We have rented many properties before but this one was spectacular. The views out the back windows were terrific, the hot tub was crystal clear and the kitchen was the best stocked one we have ever rented. It was an excellent place to get away from it all for a few days!

  The property is in a great location surrounded by trees with the river-front fire pit, huge deck and spacious kitchen. It was perfect for our family group of 10 to gather to share meals, play games and sit by the campfire. We enjoyed the close proximity to Mt Hood trails and activities. I have mixed reviews about the condition and cleanliness of the property. The bed linens, towels and blankets were plentiful and wonderfully clean and in general the place was clean enough, but it looks like some general maintenance and upkeep is needed. We brought specific concerns to the attention of the property management and feel that they took our concerns seriously. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

  Riverdance Retreat has a very well equipped kitchen, plenty of games for rainy afternoons, and a fabulous firepit on the shore of the river for making s'mores. My only suggestion would be to put curtains in the master bedroom, especially in the summer.

    Actually, it wasn't too bad at River Dance Retreat. The water came up into the yard, but was still about 50 feet from the house and that was only for a day. And this was an unusual rain storm, 6-8 inches in 36 hours, not the usual 1/4-1/2 inch in a day.

  The house is spacious and modern and the staff gave outstanding service. The kitchen is organized and seating works well for out large family. We loved the hot tub. The deck, however, is EXTREMELY slippery! Despite warnings in your literature and using great care, our son-in-law had a very nasty fall which resulted in scrapes and bruises. Also, the lighting in the loft is minimal. You could use more lamps &/or overhead lighting there.

  This is the second year in a row that we have rented the River Dance. The first with friends and this year with my parents and our young children. This cabin is ideal for both families and adult groups. The location is wonderful, just 20 minutes from the slopes and bike trails. It is a great layout and we really enjoy the jacuzzi, well stocked kitchen and the river right behind us. The condo has alot of windows facing the back with a peaceful view of the river and trees. Even though this is a dog friendly cabin, it is very clean. Unfortunately someone did some damage to the kitchen table and there were some cracked/chipped glasses in the cupboard, but I'm sure the rental folks will take care of it, they are very good! We are planning on visiting this cabin at least once a year.

• I don't know if all properties up there have the same problem but the toilets were stained very dark and for the first day, when ever you flushed, there was a strong sulfer smell and it permiated the whole place for a few hours. Otherwize, great.

  This year was problematic. The hot tub had an odor that increased as the days went by, rendering it unusable. There was no password for the wireless. The guest book did not contain adequate guidelines for the hot tub or any info about the wireless password. The person coming out to the house to work on the wireless was not prompt (either time she arrived).
  
  This house needs work. There is no screen on the back door or kitchen door, so bugs and birds are a problem. The dishwasher barely works. There is no garbage disposal, and there was one garbage bag in the kitchen for a four night stay with ten people (I pay for maximum people). The kitchen floor is badly stained and the double doors in the living room do not stay closed.
  
  If I stay in an old, non-maintained house, I do not want to be charged with the problems for the house. I was extremely upset to pay regular price and then get charged additional money for the hot tub problems, cleaning, etc.
  
  Cece reversed the charges, but I am unhappy that I rec'd a letter with the charges, and no call of explanation. I do not like the way this situation was handled. I also believe I am being over-charged for this house.

  The linen's on the bed were great, but did not like the pillows....some beds were great, other's were okay, but I have high standards when it comes to beds. Overall, we all had a great time!   This place was spacious, lovely, and in an amazing setting. Great bedrooms, well-stocked kitchen, wonderful lay-out, huge hot tub. The only (incredibly minor) gripe we had from the entire weekend was that the trash bags in the kitchen were way too small for the can and very weak, which made throwing things away and taking out the garbage a pain.

  Location itself is fine, but you must pass through some interesting homes to get there. Also, there is a wonderfully huge home being built next door, but very limited work was being done while we were there. Lastly, the amenities were great, and in general everything was well taken care of. Caution! The outside perimeter of the building can be slick and we had several falls during our visit.

    The downstairs bathroom is being completely remodeled and will be finished next week. (It has been gutted and will have all new everything). There are 2 water heaters for this home, so we will inspect why you did not have enough hot water. If you use the jetted bathtub upstairs, it will use up an entire tank of hot water, so you will have to wait about an hour to get more hot water. We will also be pressure washing the deck in the next week.

  Odd layout, construction, only two bathrooms but sleeps 14. Not very nice overall. No fireplace but just a wood stove. Lots of space but not very nice. The water sort of stinks. The spray hose in the master bath is split and leaks. Major, noisy construction next door. Hot tub is fine and the river is pretty but a long way from the house.Overall a poor value for what it costs. I'd never rent this house again, although I've rented other properties from the same company and they have been very nice and enjoyable.

    Frist, we want to apologize for the construction next door. It is unfortunately out of our control and we really did not expect that they would be there working on a weekend. The home actually sleeps 10 max, but we would agree that 6-8 is more comfortable unless you are a very casual group. Thank you for the heads up on the spray hose, it has been repaired.

  We had a great second stay at riverdance. The dfirst time we stayed there were few problems but the management took our comments seriously and the problems were corrected. We plan on making the trip again this year. Its such a peaceful and private atmosphere. Good times to be had on the patio and by the fire pit. The hiking trails nearby are great to work off all the calories from the junk you'll be eating!
