  We love getting away to this property. I love the cabins huge windows in the main room (perfect for viewing a snowy day). The only reason I gave four stars for location is we prefer very secluded but we have never seen another neighbor anytime we've stayed.

  We were disappointed because the hot tub did not work. Being Christmas, the office was closed 2 days of our stay so we were not able to call for assistance. By the time we could call, the weather was not conducive for hot tubbing. When we reported, the staff stated we should have called.
  If I recommend this property, I will recommend that people check out all amenities upon arrival. The hot tub was an important decision in choosing this location and it was unfortunate that we were unable to use it.

    We apologize that the hot tub was working for part of your stay. It was working and heating properly prior to your check-in. We did provide an emergency phone number for you to call when you checked in. We were all in town and available to assist guests as needed over the Christmas Weekend. We discovered that this was a simple fix upon your departure. A power surge or power outage caused the hot tub to go into "Economy Mode". Or if the user pushes 2 of the buttons at the same time, it can go into Economy Mode. We can help you with that over the phone; it is just a matter of resetting the hot tub. We were in the office the last 2 1/2 days of your visit and available to assist you as well. Just a reminder to all of our guests: someone on our staff always has the afterhours phone when the office is closed. That phone number is provided on your check-in card and in the Guest Guidebook in each vacation rental.

  We had a beautiful experience doing MTB at Mt. Hood, cabin was perfect, more than we were expected, nice hot tub on the backyard, very close to a beautifully creek, temperature control worked perfect, completely equipped kitchen, nice rooms and very clean, it was almost perfect.

  This property is a decent bed and a private hot tub away from being perfect. The bed was the hardest I have ever slept in and I was in painby the 3rd night. We never used the hot tub (it was one of the items we searched for when looking for the ideal location). The hot tub is overooked by the neighbors house and a simple lattice fence would have offered a hint of privacy. House is beautiful and was spotless..

  Rental process was excellent. Cabin is beautiful. However, the property is not semi-secluded compared to other semi-secluded cabins we have rented previously. The neigbors up the hill can see directly into the house. The profile needs to be updated in order to avoid mis-conceptions about the privacy of the cabin.
  The stairs and pathway to the hot tub are very slippery. I almmost fell over in the daylight. This is a safety concern.
  There is a loose labrador from the property down the hill that is very friendly. However there is also another set of loose dogs (5 of them) at the driveway entrance that were charging us and threatening our dogs (on leash). This prevented us from being able to walk out via the driveway until a neighbor helped us. Very unpleasant experience, and potentially dangerous.

  Great get away. Good cabin. Not having the hot tub on the deck was a little inconvient but still worked out fine and used it alot. Pool table not very level but it did add an interesting element (made us laugh a lot) to the game and didn't stop us from enjoying it. Overall a wonderful experience.

  The Hidden Creek Cabin in Welches was a quaint, serene setting in an ideal location for close proximity to mountain fun. The cabin itself was excellent; in particular the wrap-around deck and rooms filled with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing weekend. You truly do not need to bring anything except food, clothes, and a fun attitude! They have board games, books, a Wii system, tons of towels, and all the amenities of home. The creek running next to the cabin provided for comfortable white noise to help you sleep and something peaceful to drink your coffee by in the morning.
  
  The only negatives were the broken pool table (disappointing to the kids especially) and the hot tub proximity behind the building which required a bit of trek on slippery steps and muddy ground. The staff, however, were helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

  We arrived a little early we were told we couldn't enter, we could not even look at the cabin, finally they gave us a map to look at the cabin, it was unlocked and wide open we called and told the office what we discovered and they finally agreed to let us put our belongings in. The circuit breaker for the oven was tripped which we fixed. The master bedroom blanket had dog hairs all over it and the deck had dog poop if you are going to allow dogs clean up after the animals. The hot tub had no outdoor shower so you were required to shower inside and then go out back and get in the tub. The tub was not usable because it smelled like a bottle of clorox.

  What an idyllic setting in the forest! Towering firs, the falling leaves of the other trees, the Fall colors...and a beautiful home! The location is actually very convenient to the property office, market and other conveniences. Don't forget to soak in the outdoor hot tub!   The cabin was very nice peaceful and quiet. Loved the sound of the creek.But, it could use some more furniture (chest of drawers)where one can put clothes in that don't require hanging. It could use some sort of shelves to store food that don't require refrigeration.
  Some of the towels were torn and thin, as well as some of the bed sheets. These items can use some upgrading. Other than that, we were very happy there.

  Although not as secluded as we had hoped, this cabin was clean, comfortable and so relaxing. It was just the two of us, but the cabin has plenty of room and is perfectly arrange for a pair of couples or family getaway. The kitchen has everything you need for complete meals, and the Zig Zag Inn isn't too far away if you want some good dining out. Wonderful place and we will definitely be back!

  THE CABIN WASN'T READY WHEN WE ARRIVED. THE HOT TUB WAS NOT IN WORKING ORDER AND DID NOT HEAT UP UNTIL THE MORNING WE LEFT, SO WE WERE UNABLE TO USE THE HOT TUB. THE OUTDOOR GRILL WAS TOO DIRTY TO USE. SEVERAL LIGHT BULBS WERE MISSING. NO OUTDOOR LIGHTS. ONE OF THE JUNKIEST NEIGHBORHOODS I HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO WITH LARGE ATTACK DOGS ROAMING ABOUT. THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR OPERATING THE TV/DVD/ETC WAS TOTALLY INADEQUATE. THE MANAGEMENT DIDN'T HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY TO FOLLOW UP ON PHONE CALLS AND WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT THE HOT TUB IN ADVANCE. I WILL RENT NO MORE CABINS FROM MT. HOOD CABINS. ADDITIONALLY, THE PRICES ARE TOO HIGH FOR VALUE RECEIVED. SINCE I HAVE RENTED CABINS 5 OR 6 TIMES BEFORE, I WAS ULTRA DISAPPOINTED.

    We regret that your visit was not everything you had hoped for. The cabin was not ready when you arrived at 3 pm, however it was ready at our regular check-in time of 4 PM. We discovered that the hot tub was not heating properly at 2 pm on your arrival day. Fortunately, we were able to get our hot tub repairman to the house to replace the part right away. The hot tub was at 95 at 5:30 pm; it heats at about 4 degrees an hour, so it should have been up to 102 by 7:30 that evening. It was heating properly on your departure day when we inspected it; we sure wish you had contacted us during your stay if the hot tub needed more attention. We clean & inspect the BBQs before each check-in & it was in good shape for your arrival; it was also clean after your departure, so it would be helpful to us if we knew what specifically was not ok. We checked all of the lights before & after your departure which is part of our normal procedure & did not find any with burnt out light bulbs. It is dark in the backyard where the hot tub is located; the property owners have decided privacy in the hot tub is more important than lots of bright lights. Someone from our office did walk you through how to use the entertainment equipment on the evening of your arrival; she asked you to call back if you still needed assistance & offered that someone could come up to the home the following day if you needed more help. You never did call back, so we thought it was all good. We did call you back everytime you called us; there was one time when your cell phone went right to voice mail & our staff did leave a message. Not sure how to respond to your perception of the neighborhood being junky; there are several upscale homes all on about an acre of land. And the dogs are not attack dogs, one barks alot, but if you even look at her, she will run away. The other dog is super friendly & will just roll over for you. We look forward to an opportunity to turn your disappointment into a happy experience.

    Hi, we sure wish we could accommodate earlier check-ins and later check-outs, but it takes us 3-5 hours to clean each house in-between each guest. Especially during the holidays, when we have several homes to clean each day.

  The only concern was managing the outside stairs when we arrived and needed to carry suitcases and groceries up several trips. The stairs were covered in a slick glaze of ice. It would be much safer to be able to enter through the garage and bring everything up stairs inside. It would be perfect if you could install a punch code garage door opener downstairs to enter without having to take the steps (which remained covered in a thin ice glaze until the last day there). That is the only concern I had. The cabin was beautiful. Just wish the hot tub was more easily accessible and a little more private (such as under a gazebo or something). We had a wonderful Christmas there and definitely plan to return!

    Thank you for your idea about an exterior coded garage door opener; we are discussing this with the owners. They have plans to redo the outside area which includes moving the hot tub. We cannot get to that until spring or summer due to weather.

  Overall the cabin was wonderful. There were a few minor improvements that need to be made - lights on the path outside - but the condition of the cabin was super clean and nice. The only complaint is that the neighboring houses were a little more close than described and there were no gates on the balcany as described. But overall it was great and I would go again.

  We had a wonderful time on our trip to Hidden Creek Log Cabin. It is nicely decorated, clean (except all the crazy cobwebs, but I think that is just part of being in the mountains) and well stocked. We enjoyed having the hot tuabe, wii, dvd player, ipod dock, internet connection and pool table. Luckily we had already read the reviews about the pool table not being high quality, so we went into it knowing what to expect.
  
  The one thing we weren't thrilled with was how close this home is to other homes. When we read semi-secluded, we expected that it wasn't going to have so many neighbors clearly visible from all rooms in the cabin. Probably our mistake for not asking what "semi-secluded" meant and wouldn't stop me from recommending the property, just would advise people of that first.

  I went on vacation with my brothers and my husband. We went skiing the first day, the property was easy to access. The people at property management were very helpful they answered any questions, they even sent me links about Mt. Hood ski locations, so I could decide were to go for everybody's capabilities. The Wii was soooo much fun. Don't get excited about the pool table though, it is not regulation size and barely fits in the room, also very unstable. I would definitely stay at that location again.

  Looked just like it did in the pictures - no, even better! Cozy yet spacious, gorgeous location on a hill among tall trees and a rushing creek below. The hot tub is PERFECT at twilight with the snow all around. We had an issue with pilot lights being out and staff was extremely helpful in getting them back on.

  We were delayed in our arrival due to a flight cancellation (weather related) & they were very helpful in accommodating us. My only small gripe was a maintenance truck blocked our driveway almost each day when we wanted to get out and we had to track him down, but he was always quick to move his truck & was very pleasant about it. In his defense, the snow was quite deep & the hill was tough to get up unless you had a 4 wheel drive. Plus, there was nowhere on the street for him to park & walk down. Small inconvenience for us, but not a huge deal.

  Well no doubt we felt like the Griswalds on a family adventure. We had the wrong car for the history making snow fall and the conditions but did we ever come across the right place to stay. All we can say is "picture perfect". Not only was the cabin right out of a story book but the neigbors John and Mike were extemely friendly and helpful, Clay who works with Cascade management was of great help when we couldnt pick our kids up and Cecelia when we locked ourselves out of the cabin. All in all it was a vacation we will remember all our lives and cherish with fond memories.

  This is our 5th or 6th property we rented through the company and we keep coming back. Hidden Creek one was our least favorite only because of the hot tub situation. It's very exposed to adjacent properties and the path to get there is not very welcoming. We never used it.
  We liked the new basement addition and hope that it will get a new pool table. The current one is pretty beat up and showed remains of construction debris.
  With these improvements, the property will be another perfect spot, just like the others we've visited. Thank you! We'll be back to try out others.

• I think it should be mentioned that there are lots of stairs; we were quite surprised. It was a job to carry all our "goodies" up. I preferred Henry Creek because of its location & one was able to go on walks directly form Cabin.

  Beautiful house and excellent quality furnishings. We really felt like we were in a tree house with all the windows. Even though it rained (in August!), it just made the ferns greener and the sounds of rushing Billy Creek louder. The only negative was there were a lot of stains on the carpets and not enough wash cloths and towels the first night.

  Looked like the cabin had not been stayed in for awhile with cobwebs about. No view to speak of and other cabins in sight. Sound of creek was nice. Prompt service when we complained about running out of hottub chemicals. Some porch railings were falling off due to poor nailing job and gate on porch was also about to fall off. Overall, a decent place but overpriced compared to previous cabins we have stayed in around the country. Fortunately, the weather and hiking were superb.

We represent the Hidden Creek Log Cabin as semi-secluded-you may see one or more homes from this home. Next time, be sure to select a home that is listed as secluded to be sure you will not see other cabins. We have lots of spiders and cobwebs; we can clean them and they will be back in a day or two.   This was our fourth home we have stayed at in the Mt.Hood area and we were super impressed with the amenities in the home. The outside area to the home is less private than some of the others but that is why the property mgmt. indicates it is semi-secluded. All in all this is a great property!

  This cabin was supposed to sleep 6 with lavish arrangements. The pull out couch was awful - my first experience renting and we did it for a gift for our parents! Thank God they did not have to suffer on that horrible pull out. I spent 75% of the night of the couch and snuck back into "bed"in the am so our parents would not feel uncomfortable. We rent houses as a family frequently - and I am not going to rent with you again. This is the second time I have issued a complaint - no one has answered me.

We would never suggest that a sofa bed or futon is the most comfortable of sleeping arrangements, so we regret that it did not meet your expectations. I think you would be happier at a home with 3 bedrooms, each with a queen or king bed.

  The week-end started out as a Superbowel getaway. It ended up much more. We had several inches of snow at the cabin when we arrived. The kids played in the snow and sleded. We went snowboarding for the first time up at the mountain and relaxeed in the hot tub when we got back. The cabin was clean and beautiful and had a great Flat screen for the game. We couldn't have asked for anything more.....except for a few extra days! We will be going back for more fun next year~
